Dutch sailing barge
This project involved building a new wheelhouse for the Dutch sailing barge Twee Gezusters, based in London.
The original had been badly damaged in an accident, but enough remained for accurate drawings to be made, which kept the graceful shape of the original. The sides were hinged and the curved roof made in sections so that all could be lowered to pass under low bridges.
Timber used was Iroko which is well suited to resist the marine environment.
