This piece was made completely from cedar of Lebanon. Cedar is a wonderful timber to use and it's possible to get very wide boards which, as well as being very stable, have an amazing grain pattern. It is also fragrant, which deter clothes moths, making it very suitable for this piece.
The newly weds' initials and date of marriage was carved on the top rail and there is also a secret bottom drawer.
