Dutch sailing barge
This chest of drawers was made to resolve a storage problem in the galley of the Dutch sailing barge Twee Gezusters.
The clients, Ewan and Fiona wanted a practical solution for the storage of pots and pans and crockery to stay in place when the boat is sailing.
Matt was very lucky to find some beautiful brown tiger oak for this job. The boards were carefully selected to make the most of this unusual timber.
All drawers were dovetailed with sides made quarter sawn ash.
